I tore into my engine after finding oil in my antifreeze. My question is should I buy the rebiult heads off of ebay? A buddy of mine bought a set for his ranger and they have worked well. Theres nothing wrong with my heads as far as I know but as long as i have this pain in the **** apart I thought for 350 bucks I could have rebuilt heads on her. I really want to install a gt2 cam but cant afford to do both right now. So If it was your engine what would you guys choose? Let me say dang near every bolt on this car was a nightmare to remove.

is there something wrong with your heads? if it were me id just do a valve job and reinstall.

also go back and edit the size of your pics to 640x480 (i think thats the size) so they fit on the page

Depends on your area, do you have a machine shop near you? Give em a call.
I'd rather trust a local (recommended) shop over buying some heads on flebay.
And darn those pictures need to be bigger, my eyes ain't what they used to was (good goin B.C.).

Oil in the antifreeze? Are you sure it was not just dirty Dexcool? How would oil get into you antifreeze? This is a problem on overhead cam engines but on a GM push rod V8?

Good valve job would cost $400-$800 depending on your area and the shop.

intake gasket was shot I could see where the front port was steamed cleaned from the antifreeze. the pic is on my cell phone or I would up load it. I thought it might of been just a case of mixed anti freeze. But to be honest i wanted to fresh'n her up a bit anyways and after seeing the steam cleaned port i was glad I tore her apart. my headers came in the mail today and i orderd a fel pro gasket set, new push rods, and water pump from rock auto thanks for the 20 bucks off discount camaro forums! new push rods because i used a shoe box lid with holes cut in top which worked great untill I picked it up and they all fell out the bottom and instead of taking a chance I just bought new ones because i was not sure which ones went where after that.
