Default Need help

My ex wrecked my camaro not even a month of owning it and I need to know how to fix the metal piece that the fender mounts to. When you take the. Fender off it's the metal under it it that's all bent up. And also when you pop the hood the metal bar going across is all bent up.

Is she your ex cause she wrecked the Camaro? lol. But in all seriousness could we see some pictures? If the damage isn't too severe you may just be able to pound it back into shape with a hammer and some patience, but id just cut the bad metal away and weld on new pieces. Go to a local junk yard and lob them off another Camaro if they're not rusted through.

the frame on these are not hard to bend, once bent it has to be straightened by a professional. cost would most likely be more than car is worth.

This metal?

That is a structural part of the car and should be straightened on a frame machine. The bad part is when this bends it can shift the upper control arm mount. That mount has to put back pretty close to original or the car will never handle right. This also means you can do just as much or more damage trying to bend it back as happened in the wrecked. Example, Lets say the upper control arm is off a 1/4", you used a come along hooked to the tree to make the fender "look" right but because of the way the metal was kinked the control arm mount is now off 3/8" in the other direction.

The point of the frame machine is to measure where the bend is and to make sure the good inspec area stays that way while your machine pulls the bent area back into spec. If the damage is light you could get the front end alignment checked and that would tell you,,, you could also get it rechecked after your back yard repair to see if you hurt it.
