Need help!!!!
ok i just put a new reman engine in my dads camaro. It is a 1996 Z28 camaro with the lt1 and it wont start. It has all msd ignition, wire, coil, dist cap and rotor, new delco plugs. I can not figure out why it wont start. I checked the fuel pressure and its right where it needs to be and i am getting spark to the plugs. if anyone can shed some light on what my problem is that please do.
Check for pulses to the injectors. There are several ways to do this. See this link.

Also, there are a lot of helpful pictures and links for diagnosing engine problems on www.shbox.com, if you haven't been there, please go there and enjoy the wealth of LT1 information.

Then you can also feel the injector make a click when the solenoid opens the interior valve. The fuel is pressurized so when the valve opens fuel comes out.
The opti only slides on one way, unless you force it on the wrong way.
If you got it to slide on with the mounting ears against the timing chain cover without any force, it's on right.

Well, going with what he is describing, it sounds like his timing could be off. Did you make sure you put the right wires to the right cylinders?

As a general rule if you have fuel and spark you get something. Even if the timing is off 180 degs it will normally back fire or something. I agree with Psycho with checking injector pulse first them pulling a plug and see if it is wet. If the motor got flooded at some point it could cause this also.
