Apparently, on a comment on one of my youtube videos, Z28's can only come with dual exhaust. I know for a fact that my car has had a previous engine swap.It's all listed in my signature. Anyone want to elaborate on this? Or does this guy just not know what the craphe's talking about?

 

4th gen z28s havea Y pipe and single pipes running to from the Y toone muffler that has dual outlets. their technically not trually dual exhaust their dual tips.

 

If the car was origionally a V6 car it could have a single outlet exhaust if the cat-back was never changed. If it was origionally a Z28 it should have dual outlets as Spartan said.

 

It could also have the old school SLP single exhaust- I'm not sure you can even find that anymore though...

 

The 96 and 97 SS SLP exhaust upgrade was 2 tips on the driver side of the car, so if it has 2 on the drivers side it could be the SLP exhaust.

Your V6, like the Z28's has dual outlet, it's not true dual as Spartan already explained, but your V6 must either have the Y87 package or an aftermarket cat-back.

 

Yeah i saw a 96 or 7 SS (dont remember) with the dual tips on one side and was like.. wtf... did that guy throw SS badges on his V6? what an idiot... Then i asked him and he showed me the engine and we talked for like an hour at the gas station.

 

Didn't the '98 SS have a single outlet exhaust?
