Just curious what mileage was on the car when you bought it? Did I miss that in your post? Congrats on the purchase, man. I hope it brings you many years of joy.

Thanks. I forgot to post it. It had 108,482. After I drove back to Ohio, it has a little above 109k.

is the rear main seal leaking? Is this a northern car? Those bushings look like they want to be replaced

and did you say for $150 they detailed the interior, exterior, engine bay and waxed the car? Did they clay bar it too? If so, send them down here. For that price per car they can do all of my cars

No, the rear main seal is not leaking. Do you see something in the pictures? Yes, it is a northern car. Not, sure where the bushings are located!

Yes, for $150 they detailed the interior, exterior, engine bay, cleaned the engine, tires/rotors, and waxed the car. I don't know what clay bar is.

WOW! Thats a lot of rust under that car... Rather than use 60 grit paper, I would use a stiff wire wheel to remove the rust, then use the POR 15. Every fastener on the car looks like its rusted... thats gonna be a factor when you work on the car. Be ready to replace broken bolts.

3 years ago I had a 1999 Dodge transported from NH. It was $500 for the transport but the car was given to me by a relative because he wasn't using it. is aid I'd fix the head gasket and give it to one of my kids.

When replacing the brakes, the brake lines kept breaking so I ended up replacing those.

When changing the fuel filter the fuel line was borderline so I replaced the fuel lines.
A lug broke off so I had to change that. When i started to get ready to remove the exhaust I looked at that..............I junked the car. The entire underneath was basically being eaten away. Not the body, but every fastener, line etc

under carriage washes are very important up north and I could swear this car never had one

TO the OP

put a piece of cardboard underneath the entire tranny and engine at night and in the morning look to see if there any drips.

I'm not wishing it upon you but me thinks you'll see a drip

Exactly the opposite by ours..... Heres my 93 Z28's underside. This car has 147k on it. With the exception of the obvious replaced parts, all I did was use a little Simple Green and a rag on the rest of the underside.
