Lol I think we should have a "camaro" spell checker on the forums.

Anyways, I use Mobil 1 synthetic every time. And my personal preference for exhaust, I would get SLP Loudmouth 2, but that is because I like a loud, but also good sounding car. Others are more into tone and throaty. For that, I would probably get Flowmaster or something along those lines. Welcome to the forums by the way!

+1 for Mobil 1 5W30, but I typically add a quart of Royal Purple first after each change

I use 10-30 in my Camaro. Is that bad?

I like Pennzoil Synthetic oil or AMS, but everyone has their own opinions and it reallt won't matter much; just make sure you run the correct weight, 5w-30.

Start with a catback exhaust; we can't tell you what is best as what sounds good is all opnion. HP gains between catbacks will be similar. Step it up to longtube headers, ORY and a tune and you should be close to 400hp. I'd recommend the BBK ceramics for longtubes; Pacesetter's quality will always be subpar in my mind and fitment issues are quite common with them.
Didnt the lt1 start with like 275-300hp? How is an exhaust system and a tune going to get him an extra 100hp???

10W30 is fine if you don't live in Alaska and he's probably gaining 100HP with those mods in addition to a flash + reprogram. I like to refer to them as "idiot mods" because I see their cars end up on Craigslist with a knock 3 days later.

OBD1 LT1 is 275hp to the crank and OBD2 is 285hp to the crank. To the wheels stock they're probably around 230-240hp. To the crank, you could MAYBE get to like 360-370hp with those mods, but if you have to tune it where it's running on 93 with octane boost and then timing is probably REALLY advanced, air/fuel mixture, etc. It won't last long if you tuned a stock motor to that extent.
