Hey I have a 2002 camaro ss...and I got the Factory performance exhaust so no muffler and only 1 Cataytic Converter..do i need it?.i was planning to take it off and just have pipes strait back.so is it ok..or will it mess up something with the engine or what ever....let me know please

 

Do YOU need it for emissions testing? If not, it can be deleted (you'll need a tune to delete the relevant codes from the computer to avoid SES lights) OR replaced with a higher-flow cat, but if no emissions concerns, then I'd consider the former.

The stock one is worth a few bucks -- take it to a metals recycling center.

If you're gonna delete, then do headers, y-pipe while you're at it... Get some quality pipes to last you a while, since you have a nice car.
