Wait...huh?
In your first post you changed the thermostat. What do you mean now by "the whole thermostat was completely ripped off and never to be found"? Who ate it?

idk where it went it just wasnt there and i didnt change the thermostat the first time the dealership i bought it from did it as a free check up and fix so i said what the hell why not and so when i and my brother were taking the car apart and then the water pump it just wasnt there and idk it just wasnt there it looked like it was ripped off or something not melted or anything just sanpped off? does anyone where should i look for it? cuz i hit a pot hole and the car is backfiring and its lack huge power it feels like its a chevy cavalier with 100 horses and i mean before it was fine i believe that its the EGR system that needs to be change what do you guys think?

Did you bottom out? If you hit the Cat it may have broken apart inside and pluged. You will need a back pressure test to be sure.

I have a feeling that maybe the dealer either couldn't fix the problem right, or didn't have a replacement thermostat handy. Sounds like they may have taken off the innards of the stat and just left the outer ring to use as a "restrictor"? Thermostat parts aren't going to just "disappear" down inside the water pump.

well yea i got a new 190 thermostat and that car isnt over heating any more. now its just lack soooo much power it doesnt feel like im driving a camaro before if i floored it would would of gotten to 60 in like 6 seconds now its more like 12-14 seconds. i mean come!!
