Wow, thanks for the responses guys! I know the darker underneath color is the REAL car color. The lighter color on top of it is a PAINT OVER.

The reason I am having questions on the paint is because I know that "everyone calls" 1996 37U Bright Teal Metallic and 37Q Molding color is found as DARK Bright Teal Metallic. The WA-146A is important as this is what a paint shop will go by and their isn't much info. on this. Somehow this just doesn't sound right and I hear of people having a hard time repainting Bright Teal Metallic to look original looking. NOTHING SEEMS 100% CLEAR.

This is straight off of Camarosource.ca for molding colors. As you can see, only 2 have year (96) listed out to the side.
37Q
MOLDING COLOR DK BRIGHT TEAL MET
37Q
MOLDING COLOR DK TROPIC TEAL MET (02)
37Q
MOLDING COLOR EXTERIOR, MANTA GREEN MET (96)
37Q
MOLDING COLOR MED STELLAR BLUE MET (96)
37Q
MOLDING COLOR, DK BRIGHT TEAL MET
37Q
MOLDING COLOR, DK BRIGHT TEAL MET

AND THIS IS LISTED FOR 37U PAINT CODE
37U
PRIMARY COLOR EXTERIOR, AIRCRAFT BLUE (02) (OPEL)
37U
PRIMARY COLOR EXTERIOR, DARK TROPIC TEAL MET (02)
37U
PRIMARY COLOR EXTERIOR, GLACIER BLUE MET (ISUZU) (03)
37U
PRIMARY COLOR EXTERIOR, MED STELLAR BLUE MET (02)
37U
PRIMARY COLOR EXTERIOR, ZEPHYR GREEN (02) HOLDEN
37U
EXTERIOR COLOR, PRIMARY (DARK BRIGHT TEAL METALLIC) (92)
37U
PRIMARY COLOR, EXTERIOR, LT BROWN (91)
37U
EXTERIOR COLOR, PRIMARY (DARK BRIGHT TEAL METALLIC) (92)
37U
PRIMARY COLOR, EXTERIOR, LT BROWN (91)
NONE OF WHICH HAVE YEAR (96) LISTED TO SIDE.

Then I find this information listed on Yearly GM Paint Codes « website. It says YEARLY GM PAINT CODES (KEEP IN MIND IT IS NOT MODEL SPECIFIC).
It has this listed for 1996 Paint Codes:
Medium Teal Blue Metallic Clearcoat 37/WA146A

So as you can see, I am clearly and utterly confused here. The second site makes no listing of Bright Teal Metallic or Dark Bright Teal Metallic. Also the first site doesn't list either for 1996 off to the side (just 1992). I'm looking for REAL answers here. Could this be the reason the color is sooo hard to have repainted to look like original did? If so, what is TRULY CORRECT? I am only stating what I have found in hours upon hours of deep researching with what seems to be conflicting information all over the web.

HELP HELP HELP. I'm more then willing to listen to reason but hard facts are the only true answers.

Now their is once again conflicting answers on Base or RS Model.

If someone has a BASE Camaro, what does your Title list the model as?

If someone has a RS Camaro, what does your Title list the model as?

OR Does Everyone have Title Model Listed as Camaro/RS?

Looking for TONS of responses to this post, so a comparative can be made. Thanks

Bright teal metallic, paint code #37: Camaro Paint Color Production #'s
Your car looks like it was repainted mystic teal #79, either by mistake or the owner liked that shade better.
