Hey guys just an update, mechanic called me back it was the posts on the battery. Seems they weren't on tight. Don't know how. As for the knocking when he started it there was no sound or tick of any kind. Maybe now I'll reseal it and all yeah? Hes giving it a tune up and checking anything else It might have problems with.

 

may want to look at new upper and lower intake gaskets. common fail point for the 3.8.

 

Yea resealing the whole motor is a major project. Step one: remove engine.
