Default Mpg

I just wanted to share that I got 27.3 mpg, after averaging miles driven vs gallons pumped today.

I just have a K&N filter in my stock airbox, as my only mod.

Its a 98 Firebird with the V6, 16k miles. I have a Fast Toys Ram air that I haven't installed yet, and was planning on a Flowmaster catback, when their Super44 muffler makes its way into their catback kit.

I also switched all fluids to full synthetic, with the exception of the power steering.

Ironically, my wife drives like a NYC cabbie, and gets 25mpg without even trying in her Sienna.

Everytime I fill up I do the math and always get 22 mpg. Nothing more, nothing less. Thats with my 00' 3.8 with 42,000 miles and mixed driving mainly ontwo lane windy country roads.

17 hwy when i drive the speed limit 6 when i romp on it.. No joke. I did a burn out that lastest several yards and i went from over a 1/4 of a tank to empty... Luckily there was a gas station at the other end of the parking lot. I was able to hose down my tires and fill up my tank for 30 bucks.

I run about 24 putzing back and forth to work, 26-28 when mixed (depends on % of interstate), 29 @80mph w/ AC and 33 at ~70mph w/o AC.

My wife can get 27-28 putzing back and forth to town. My foot weighs about 10 lbs more

98 V6 5 spd with 90k mi. Hardtop, manual windows, manual mirrors (NO frills except AC and CD player).
