'95 gave the option for the mirrors and sail panels to match the car if that's what you were referring too.

Looks like a decent find for a $1000. Paints better than mine was and I paid $1100 for it. Interior looks about the same. I'd go full resto on it.

Must be a base model? With the LT1 and 6 speed? Thought you could only get a Z with that combo, but the Z had power everything. Picture shows manual windows.

looks like a tough solid car, strange seeing that combo, maybe the original owner was paranoid about too much vehicle electronics but wanted the power? the hood and bumper cover looks different than the rest of that car

yes 95 was the first year z28 roof and mirrors can be the same color as the car. base model did not have the lt1 as an option, had 3.8 as option. better look under the hood to see whats under there. i dont see badges so if it is a v8 either they are removed or car could be frankencar.

Even if its not a V8, it will be.
I would just part out the stock set up and drop a rebuilt 350 with a nice carb setup.

You do not want to go there. It is a nightmare to do and almost impossible to work on when its done. The 4th gens are not designed to have distributor. You would have to pull the motor to replace the rotor cap. Tranny wont work and you have to rewire the entire car. The computer and body control module control everything in the car. Think about creating a wiring harness for everything in the car, Gages, AC, heat, all lighting, wipers...... Just read thru the V8-V6 thread in the V6 section there are links to projects in there one is a V6 to carb build thread. You would be Soooo much better off to grab a 3rd gen body for a project like this.

If this is a 95 V6 it is NOT worth $1000 with a blown motor. $600 tops and that is because the front clip is worth $500.

I found the link.

Agg I would not want to do that without a hoist. I'll bet he had that motor in and out 6 times test fitting and making parts.

if its a 95 3.8 it would be easy to find low miles used motor. i dont know how rare a roll up door is but i dont recall ever seeing one in person. lol. the doors may be worth something. anyways see whats in it and what the production codes say its supposed to be and go from there.
