Drained my diff this weekend and found the inside cover magnet had come loose, and its seems like the diff has been taking a nibble of it too.

Question is if to try and glue it back on, or just leave it out, or maybe buy a new cover with a magnet?

should stick to the metal on its own, may want to pick up new magnet and see if it sticks. idea is to remove any tiny pieces of metal caused by normal wear.

I’m also missing the breather tube on the top which has led to oil leakage, according to the spare parts catalogue I have 1236317 should be right OEM No, but ebay says no fit on 96-Z28, as long as the size of the hole fits the vent, it ought to be ok or...

for that price it would be worth a try. may want to have a look around the local wrecking yards and see if they have any.

The yards where I live don't have that kind of cars except for one that's really expensive, I will measure the hole and if it matches the one on eBay, I'll likely go for that...
