So i was cruising last night and boom!
check engine light starts flashing and the
car starts bogging..

got the check engine looked at and it comes back
P0303 Cylinder 3 Misfire.. i checked the plugs and
they were fine. i went ahead and changed the spark
plugs and its still doing the same thing.. so now im left
with coil or injectors.. but iam getting a odor of gas..

heres where my question comes in.. how can i go about
checking the injector? which one is for cylinder 3? is it the
one thats lined up with the plug?

what year and engine? number three is the second cylinder back on the driver side.

 

its a 2000 v6 3.8...
iam currently removing the injector.
i did the sound test with the screw driver but
they all sounded fine

 

how old are the plug wires, any of them on the exhaust manifold, could wait till its really dark and start it up with the hood open. have a look for spark.
