Default cylinder 7 misfire

hey guys. i have '96 camaro ss. and its been missing lately when i'm in low rpm' (1500- 2500) and in 1st 2nd and 3rd gears. well i put a scanner on it and a code came up p0307 cylinder 7 misfire. the plugs and wires are only maybe 4 months old.. maybe 15oo miles put on in that time. so i changed the #7 plug and it didn't help. any more suggestions would be great thanks.

A friend of mine had a similar trouble code on his Tahoe. It ended up being a fuel injector intermitently misfiring. He had the vehicles injectors professionally cleaned and it seemed to solve the problem. I'm not sure if this is your problem but hang on a bit, more experienced members will respond soon.

if you changed the spark plug and nothing happened try checking to make sure the wire is clean and still good.as sewerrat stated it could have a bad of dirty fuel injector, or the compression could be off in one of the chambers.you could aslo check to see if the oxygen sensors are still good, that could cause a misfire.

Start Your Car in a VERY dark garage. Look under the hood ( no engine light ) and watch for spark arc. If You have none, go to the injectors next. It's probably a bad cap or wire or something along that line.
