im sure when you changed the wires the cracked plug was disturbed and got worse. lol. well you got new wires now. wonder what a shop would have went through.

Spark plugs don't generally crack on their own, especially fairly new ones. Your plug got cracked during installation, a socket getting yanked too far off at an angle is enough to do it.

It could have been from the install, I'm not going to debate that.
