Manual Valve Body Problem
I have a 98 Camaro drag car. It has a TH350 with a 4k stall and a TCI full manual forward pattern valve body. It has been freshly rebuilt and has been through a couple of front pumps so far. The tranny will shift all gears fine except 2nd. I can go from 1st to 3rd, but that's not ideal in the 1/8 mile LOL! I'm not a transmission guru, so I'm looking for insight. Thanks for your help!
In my experience of running a THM350, no second gear means the outer ring of the intermediate sprag is broken.
Right behind the oil pump after pulling the trans from the car.
The last time the trans was shifted, at WOT, did it sound like a 10GA shotgun trigger was pulled when upshifting to second?
Mine broke five times in two years, I changed back to a PG, installed a Turbo-splined input shaft for using the same convertor and I pulled the same ET.
