stiffens the front, helps to stop body sway. im gona say tires, brakes, stainless braided brake lines, quality adjustable shocks, check tierod ends and ball joints (replace if any question) and most important wheels (lol a must for great handling)

What are sone really good dry tires? Mine are the wet/dry ones. My car is never in the rain, so are my michelins better in the dry then just dry tires?

Since your car is a 1996 you should upgrade the brakes to the 98-02 style. The front calipur is twin piston and they made from aluminum so they cool faster. Also the LS1 close ratio rack. This is in addition to all the above.

Well you have a V8, so I would recommend, bold should be your first mods (stock DeCarbon/Delphi shocks suck!):
1. Koni SA shocks -- all four (SLP Bilsteins for a lower price option, but NOT with lowering springs)
2. Stranoparts 35/22 hollow Swaybars (SS sways for a lower price option)
3. Strut Tower Brace -- lightweight like Hotchkis (aluminum) or UMI (chro-molly)
4. Subframe connectors -- 2 or 3 point, like UMI (chro-molly for less weight)
5. Watts Link -- Fays2 (much better than a panhard bar)

IF you do all the above, it will be a TOTALLY different and better handling car.

If you want to lower the car, go with Stranoparts lowering springs, but note that you will loose some ride comfort -- stock springs with Konis should be the most comfortable ride.
