RE: lt1 rebuild kit?
what? why? what happened to the ls1 idea? look at www.advancedinduction.com at their 383 rotating assemblies. otherwise look at some popular vendors for stock rebuild kits

well im just lookin for faster than stock, im tired of racing modded mustangs and winning or loosing by a fender..i want to cream them haha. but im lookin into a 383 build or hell even a standard bore with some bolt ons, all in all id like to see close to 400 hp in the end but im in no hurry and possibly s/c her when i when the lottery lol

you don't need to go stroker for 400 HP...a good heads and cam package will get you there. www.elliottsportworks.com or www.advancedinduction.com. didn't you say your lt1 had a lot of miles?

i figured...what i'd do is talk to a machine shop...get a quote to just do a 355 build which uses your stock crank...if it were me i'd use the stock rods as well and have them use a strong rod bolt such as ARP. then chat with them about what your goals are and plans and they can pick a piston for you. you're going to want to know what cam and heads you will be running as well. do yourself a favor and visit www.elliottsportworks.com and email lloyd and tell him your goals and everything. tell him your car engine has a lot of miles and plan a rebuild and let him run with it
