lt1-ls1 swap

RE: lt1-ls1 swap
You are talking about a lot of work with the swap. You already have a good starting point with the LT1 so why not just build up on that? No need to search all over trying to find a good deal on the LS1. Besides the LS1 you're going to get from ebay is a used LS1 therefore you may not know how hard that engine was used and could be getting an engine that's on it's last leg. Building up the LT you already have will bring that engine back to when it was new with added power for a little more. Just my 2 cents.

The LS1 is a taller motor as well, so you'll probably have to get a new hood.

To run the ls1 lid, the radiator has to be tilted back slightly and I am pretty sure a hood like an ultraZ, LT1 WS6, or a cowl will be needed to clear the lid.

the engine clears just fine, only problem is running the ls1 lid. just run a different air intake, or..

RE: lt1-ls1 swap
sell the lt1, buy a ls1. heads/cam/spray (with a high shot of spray you can reach over 400rwhp with out puting heads/cam)you will have over 400 at the wheels. screw all the hard work to save the 95. it will be cheaper/easier/etc to sell and buy another car.
