Im going to be rebuilding a new motor and i have a 95 camaro (ya know obd1 computer obd2 reader) anyways i really love the lt1 motor but i have had several different opinions as to what to put back in so if you were in this situation would you find an lt1 or an ls1? any input is appriciated.. Personally, I would just go with another LT1. The LS1 swap is going to be a difficult and costly swap. You would need a donor LS1 Camaro, perhaps a wrecked one. Almost everything would needed to be swapped over.

if you got money-LS1 hands down, no questions asked.

either way, you still need knowledge and skill. its going to be a real challenge to swap out the body controls and wires, gauges, etc...
if u like wiring, wire up an LS!!!! LS series motor is a godsend of all chevy engines

for the money it would cost to get set with the ls1 you can get more power from the lt1.

What is in your car now? If it is a V6 you will need an entire doner car for either the LS or LT engine.

well its a lt1 now and she runs great but as a personal challenge i am going to tear another motor down to the block and try to build as much horsepower from the internals as possible (cam, lifters, pistons,etc...) I know either way i am in for alot of work but i think i agree with the extra money needed to swap it would be better to make another lt1 plus with leftover money for bolt on's thanks guys much appriciated

u can make it go 'vroom vroom' wayy easier and for much less money then an LS swap.. LS is great but LT1s are good too
