Default LT1 (93-97) to LS1 (98-02) brake conversion

I did a quick search but could find much,

Im wanting to convert my friends 96 Z28 to some spare LS1 98 brakes I have. Do I just need to replace disks, calipers, pads and caliper mount. OR/AND do I need to change the actual spindle too??

thanks

You can use the orginal spindles but you have to cut them up to clear the new rotor. The below pic show a 96 with a 2000 set of rotors set right next to it. I think you are right to just get the correct spindles.

The brake lines will also be an issue the if you are useing the stock metal line from the older car. At one point someone posted a link to a guy that makes direct stainless lines for the convertion but I have not been able to find it.
