Default LS6 INTAKE ON AN LS1

Has anyone on here put an ls6 intake on thier ls1? i would like to know what kind of power gains you get from the swap, and how easy it is to do so.

Don't know if it will fit, but in general, if the ports on the intake are larger than the ports on the heads, the air flow into the engine is disturbed creating a power loss, rather than a gain. Port matching work,if it is possible, may help.

The LS6 intake came standard on 2001 and 2002 Z28/SS cars anyway. I'm not sure what kind of power increase people see from it though. It's probably not going to benefit you too much unless you have a larger cam or better flowing heads.

for a cam car its considered around 15 hp fromw hat i have heard. it will fit just fine, but you may need to file/cut off some peices of plastic from the bottom. the ls1/ls6 heads, intake, and exhaust all use the same port sizes and everything. only difference is within each component
