LS1 swap?

RE: LS1 swap?
Automatic. The gearing on the 6-speed isn't anywhere near what I need for my truck, I will be hauling stuff to some extent. Yeah, I was going to shoot for like a 2300, 2400 stall? I'm not really sure, I'm used to older motors and their parts. Does 2400-2500 or so seem good?

lol, well I do a good bit of city driving I think 3600 might be a bit much.Let's split the difference..... how about 2800-2900? I'll check out cams and see what operasting range they are and see....

RE: LS1 swap?
OK, this is the biggest cam I can find that wouldn't go overboard in my opinion. http://www.jegs.com/i/Lunati/638/55003/10002/-1# It's bigger than stock, rpm band kicks in at 2000... I want to, like I said, still keep some efficiency so I didn't like the Comp Cams XFI cam with the 112 LSA as oposed to the stock cam's 116 LSA. Or would it really kill that much? this is the comp cams: http://www.jegs.com/i/Comp+Cams/249/54-428-11/10002/-1# It has a longer rpm band which is a plus and more lift etc. but I may be perfectly happy with the Lunati cam. Let's assume the Lunati cam, maybe 2800 stall converter? For the comp cam like 3000 stall? I'm still researching all this stuff... Need as much input as possible!!
