Default LS1 conversion

So I have a 3.8L V6 5spd man. I was wonder if anyone knew if it would be cheaper or better to mod my V6 or to flatout buy an LS1 and have it put in? I got the idea from a guy who put an LS1 in a beamer but he didn't say how much he dropped for it. Anyone have any idea?

probably be alot cheaper to by an ls1. attempted a conversion on my 96 camaro, and it was going to end up being more trouble than its worth.

i would say trade the car. you are looking at alot of work to swap motors out. you will have to buy the motor, new tranny, new mounts (i think....) which may require new front suspension parts. Not sure about that last part though.

Hate to say it man but your probaly better trading up to a LS1 car. It will be cheaper in the long run.
