heres what i found from that link import posted:
CASTING#.....SIZE...YEAR...MAIN CAP BOLTS....NOTES
14093638...350...87-95...2 or 4...Roller or flat tappet cam, one-piece rear seal
ok so... from that can we tell it will work? I havent gotten a chance to see the heads yet because i cant find any 3/8-16 bolts to put it on a stand which sucks because i dont have school 2morrow so i have to wait til monday...
Edit: Crap... the link camaro69 posted under camaros only 1409638 isnt listed.. so im guessing this isnt a camaro block..

BTW, the engine #'s at the site I gave are for all Chevy, not just Camaro.

RE: Looks like an LT1 but i need a 2nd opinion
yeah i accidently left a three out the 2nd time. But i see what i did theres a drop box that splits em up and i did the camaros only but it was older camaros nothing past like 80.
Sooo in other words all i know now is that its a sbc built between 87-95 has a two or four bolt main a roller or flat tappet cam and a one piece main seal.. I could be a camaro it could be somethin else.. Im guessing head numbers will narrow it down?

Camaro/Vette LT1's had aluminium heads. Impala SS Lt1's had iron heads. My guess is that engine is just a standard 350 2 bolt main. You will know more when you tear into it.

Here is an LT1, then an sbc (the water pump size and bolt locations are different) Besides, on your pic of the school motor, it doesn't look like you could fit the distributor behind the balancer pulley.
