Default Looking for help replacing my ICs

So, I want to replace/upgrade my ignition coils, and I had a few questions, hopefully you can help:

Any specific brand I should be looking for? I was looking at MSD, but I want to be sure I'm getting my money's worth

Also, with the new coils, I was thinking of replacing the spark plugs and wires while I'm at it. I use AC Delco Iridium plugs, but I've never done the wires before. Is there a specific resistance I should look for? Brand? Length? I have the Haynes and Chilton repair manuals, but this is my first time doing all this in one shot, so any help would be appreciated.

For plugs I like NGK platinum myself.i started liking them from dealing with motorcycles and 4 wheelers.i don't know what wires to get just make sure you run them right to keep them away from to much heat.thats just my opinion though good luck

i like the taylor spire pro plug wires. ngk is a good plug. i use the 55 iridium plugs in the lt1. i dont think you need to go that far. i would hesitate to replace all the coils, you not going to see any hp increase with msd coils as opposed to any other.

Thanks for the reply, glad to see you're still around As for the wires, are there any specifics I should be looking for, or is it more of just finding a price point? Also, I'm not looking for HP gains, I've owned the car for several years without ever touching the coils, and I'm playing the "Better safe than sorry" card by replacing them before they need to be replaced, if you catch my drift

*EDIT*
These are the wires I was looking at:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ta...t/model/camaro
I saw one thing in the description that had me worried, though. One of the descriptors was "Coil Wire included: No". What's a coil wire and do I need to replace it along with the ICs and spark plug wires, or is that something I shouldn't have to worry about?

50 ohms per foot is a pretty low resistance. I went with a 270 ohm per foot wire and thought that was much better than most of what was available.
