long crank time after start
Hi I've replaced my fuel regulator and i.ve put in three new coils but im not getting a fast hot start after she sits .
So I think the cam and crank sensor is good she starting .
I seen people having problems with injectors and the fuel check valve in the tank .
so can you guys help me fix the problem with the engine
I have a 1997 chevy Camaro 3,8 v 6 engine .

Test fuel pressure and spark when the engine will not start. If you have both and it still wont start then check for signal to the injectors. If a car won't start its missing fuel or spark step one is, what is missing?
You are right fuel pressure is your most likely issue. You can try cycling the key on without starting it a few times before you start it. If it starts up right away you fuel pump check valve could be it.

A cranks sensor or spark control module can cause a delay in firing that will not cause a miss of any kind. In fact if this was the early 80's it was more likely a spark module issue then a fuel issue. This can also be an issue with the IAC motor or the EGR valve based on your description. Fuel is still most likely with your 3800 but doing it only hot could mean an electrical issue.

They tested it when it was hot? You said the car starts fine cold? A part the works fine cold will test fine cold also. Don't worry about the electrical side until you have proven the fuel side is working as it should. I just gave you a generic list. If you are under the impression that "long crank when hot" only has one possible answer you are mistaken. Fuel pressure test when it is hot and cranking long? Are the injectors firing when its hot and not starting? If those are both good then your missing air or spark. If you have air, fuel and spark something will happen, a back fire at the least.

No just cold they tested it , I have too make sure fuel not bleeding off past the pressure regulator it is new but that don't mean I didn't get defective part from rock auto .its from delfi .
I don't have the money right now too worry about it so it has too wait .I can deal with it as it is .
My friends going too check it out for me .
