Default Lifter

I think i have a lifter ticking. Is this a hard repair/check to do, or would i need to bring it to the shop?

to fix you need to take the manifold off and replace to check isnt the hardest but im not 100% sure there's a way to be sure its a lifter

Old way to find noisy lifter. Remove valve cover & run engine. Place finger on top of each rocker, the noisy one will give the finger a good jolt. Also makes an oily mess.

not hard. have to take the intake maifold off and valve cover to get to the rocker assembly. need to identify the failing lifter first unless your changing them all. take the rocker off and remove the push rod then u can pull the lifter. are u sure its a failing lifter and not a miss adjusted lifter? another thing u need to look at first is oil pressure. if u have low pressure at ldle when warmed up the issue will either stay or come back.
