They do have an slp kit but its a Flopac CAI for $300+, i was just looking the lid, and air filter.

edit: nvm, i just went to the chevy place to see if my car was ready, they had taken off the lid and i saw that the air filter is K&N, so i guessat some point someone put one in the car. the guy told me i needed to get it cleaned though. so i'll just get a slp lid or something.

Since I have 99 3800 I was wondering if and how big of a difference you were able to notice from this?
You won't notice it, its very minimal.
Its more of a supporting intake mod, like think of it this way.
Do you want your airflow to go in unnecessary places? No.
Do you want a bendy straw, or are you a big boy and want a straight flow to the mouth?

However, it sounds like the silencer removal will help and be noticable in terms of sound, and I've heard minimal performance gains.
But I doubt its really noticable while driving.

the free mods would be much more noticeable on an LS1 than a V6, but if i had a lid style V6 i would probably do it anyway.. but like 98CMARO said, probably wouldn't notice much on a V6 besides a sound difference, but i have heard of minimal performance gains on the V6.
