Lets Talk Suspension
#12
When you go fast over a speed bump the body of the car stays just about where it was before but the suspension defelcts more. Now go slow and the body of the car gets the chance to lift and when you come down the back side of the speed bump you get the weight of the car + momentum when you hit the bottom of the bump and you cause the suspension to compress. It is this point that all the other Camaros I have access to bottom out but I dont. At the same time I have a really nice ride.

I cant coment on the specifics of your factory springs, but if your looking for handling. a shock tower brace will help. After i installed on my Z, the body role was cut down alot. You may look at this first, that is if you do not already have one installed.

The brace is on my wish list and one of the tax return purchases I am going to make.

P.S. I know the value of this little part. I installed the Shelby brace into my 66 Mustang GT and that greatly improved my handling even with 30 yr old worn suspension.

I went with the 3 point eldlebrach one. It was easy to install, but a pain to get the Wiper arms off. It definetly tightend up the steering response. I have been told the subframe connectors for the t top cars helps also.
