I wanted to run this issue by the forum about the keyless entry remote for my 1995. It works, but not consistently. I've had this trouble for awhile, and have disassembled the remote & cleaned it. I've got good quality Energizer batteries in it. Even so, sometimes it works perfectly. Sometimes it works, but only right next to the car. Other times it doesn't work at all. Overall it probably doesn't work half the time you use it.

Is there anything I'm missing about this problem? I'm not sure why cleaning the buttons and contacts in the remote itself wouldn't fix this. There's no corrosion and I've checked the continuity to the button cell battery contacts on the board as well.
