Default Key less entry doesn't work???

I have a 1996 RS Camaro and since I have owned it my keyless entry doesn't work. I replaced the battery in both remotes and still nothing. I have tried the "program procedure" in the owners manual and still nothing.... Any ideas? When I lock the doors and then unlock it with the key the horn will sound so I have to hurry and stick the key in the ignition.... I dunno??

what is the procedure in the manual?

just did this on my 95. had to ground the 4th pin and the 8th pin on the OBD port together. then the door locks cycled and have to hit any button on each remote one after another.

I have a 96 camaro that had problems with the keyless remote not working like yours . |I replaced the ignition switch aaaand everything works now. I know it sounds crazy, but that was the problem with mine. good luck.
