RE: Keep the Camaro, sell the camaro
Do any of you guys remember when you see an old classic car that's drop dead georgous that your jaw drops at the site of it? Right after that your grandpa or your pops says "I used to have one of those back in the day and I sold it for $100. I wish I would have kept it". Well you may not believe it now but if you own a Z or an SS then you own a car just like that. Maybe it's not worth much right now but if my memory serves me right there was a time in the 70's when they couldn't give away big block cars like Chevelle's, GTO's, Camaro's and the Olds 442? Now those cars are worth $$$!!! Something to think about.

Well... My dad wont let me have two cars meaning i cant garage the Z and buy a beater. Plus I owe my dad 3000 for those repairs and he wont let me buy another car until i pay him back so i cant even get a beater right now... Im going to sell my Camaro, pay my dad back and then save straight thru the winter just to get him off my back andbefore i have to put more into the engine toclean it up(probably wont even get a beater.. might just take the shoelace express). If all goes as planned ill have a98-02 T/A hopefully by the summer.

I voted to sell the Z and get the Chevelle. It will be a fun project and has a chanceof appreciating in value it you do it well.
I'd buy a beater: GeoPrism is not bad, but if you don't need the front wheel drive think about a used Ranger -- they are dirt cheap to buy -- used, you get a lot of remaining life for the moneyand about the lower cost thing with four wheels you can insure, they are very easy to fix, and with the 3 liter V6 it has a world class drivetrain from the standpoint of durability (if little else).
