Default K&N, Exhaust worth it?

Hi all, first timer.
I have a v8 grand cherokee, did the K&N thing and the flowmaster, really made a difference. Hauls a$$.. Here's my '94 v-slow with fresh paint on the doors/rear quarters and that custom 10' you can put in the trunk (it bumps almost better than the 2 12s in my jeep) with Memphis speakers all around, and 20% windows and a cover to hide chipped bumper paint...

Overall I've got this puppy the way I want it, maintained and purring and aging gracefully.. is it worth my money to do the exhaust/intake on such a slow car? Will I see significant performance/mileage gains, because if so then I'm all about it?

well im taking its a v6. well what are you wanting out of it? do you plan on keeping it and such. and if you get a k&n intake for it. if you ever decide to get a z28 of the same model, the intakes are the exact same.

if you're constantly bumping that "custom 10' sub",the exhaust might be a waste as you wouldnt hear it lol.welcome and the mods wont hurt.even if you get rid of the car down the road there is usually a market for those parts even used

The exhaust isnt really gonna give u a performance gain maybe a couple horsies like wise for the intake it really wont do much for u either. But the intake is better for your engine to breathe and the exhaust will make your car sound better. So if you want sound just go put on a flow master muffler as a whole cat back wont do much for u anyway.

a CAI and freer flowing exhaust WILL add some power. think about it, your car is breathing better, the better you move air the faster you go.

Default thanks all

Thanks for the replies,

I am mostly going for gas mileage gains if that's possible, I do want to keep the car forever since I'm original owner and it only has 112k on it. Haven't done any mods at all yet. I swapped my stock exhaust for the z28 muffler just for looks years ago, made it sound a little lawn-mower-y which I don't really like. Does anyone have a v6 with K/N and exhaust and has seen mileage improvements? I already get close to 30 freeway in that lil sucker, not so much going for sounds, my jeep has enough monster growl for both cars, and ya that sub rocks my face anyway.
