Default just changed waterpump, rpms are high now??

hey all, just swapped out the original pump with an airtex one, inorder to get it out i took off the 3 10mm bolts on the throttle body and set it aside in order to get the pump off, however now the car idles at about 1500-1900 rpm i park and neutral, whatd i do wrong?

Also does anyone have experience with falken tires or even falken tires one 4th gens?

you are getting extra air into the tb which means you have a vacuum leak somewhere round there. Did you replace the gasket or not tighten it correctly?

Everything is hooked up as it should? I would think a vacuum leak too. As far as the gasket goes, depending on the condition, you can reuse it. I've reused mine four times after taking the TB off.

Sounds like the issue is the Gasket to me. Invest the $5 and change it.

This happened to me but I had over tightened the TB an it had cracked the UIM... Check around the TB on the UIM for cracks.

I too would suspect a vacuum leak.

make sure the plugins for all sensors around the pump are all plugged in right. could try the old spraying carb cleaner where you think the leak might be to see if it changes the idle trick.
