Jacking the car and jack stands.

RE: Jacking the car and jack stands.
Good choice, I just put one on mine. I backed onto ramps and put the front on stands. You'll need the room to get to the cat.
be sure you have a sawzall or jig saw with a metal blade to cut the pipe by the axle. Since you'll have her up, it's a good time to also throw in a new fuel filter and also drain out the differential and give it some new gear lube.
For tightening, use a 1/2 inch drive ratchet with deep sockets. You can torque those bolts down better and if you're like me, measure the clearance of the tailpipes. Neither I or my son could eyeball them right. When we thought we had them lined up, one was actually an inch lower than the other. We broke out the tape measure and were shocked that our "eyeballin" was so far off. Now i know why i'm not an artist............
Oh, if you want to know if the tailpipes aren't matched, just ask your wife who will tell you in a second that one is higher......don't argue, go get the tape measure........she'll be right

just make sure you are jacking it up in FRONT of the differential cover. dont put the jack on the cover itself because this part can bend. but if you move toward the front of the car a few inches you will be on solid iron. its fine to jack from here. there are also some notches on your frame in front of each rear wheel. this is where I typically jack from.

i jack from the comfort of my own house...
but everything spec said is true. my car is lowered so i have to get my back tires on a piece of wood before i can even consider jacking up my car anywhere...ahh the price you pay for AWESOME

I read that the left exhaust tip on the Magnaflow catback does not lineup right, its a few inches off to the left. I put the whole exhaust system together on the floor and it looks like the left exhaust pipe coming out of the muffler is not a full 90 degree bend. Is there any way to bend it some more. What has everyone else done obout this issue. I guess i like things perfect.

^ but the handle still hits the bumper. i jack mine on the front frame rail from the side, that way i can put stand on the front and back at one time. this is the best way to get your car up if you need all four wheels off the ground

it will a little, but it will get the job done if you want to go straight for the diff. i can actually lift it a few inches without the handle just by hand, and then I need to put the handle in it

here's a pic of what the thing looks like bolted up and the left sure looks ok to me. Don't overcomplicate it in your mind. It's an exhaust
step # 1, resolve yourself to the fact that the old unit is going bye bye. Seriously, remove the mental block; you can do this simple project.
Step # 2 - forget un-bolting in the rear, use your frikkin sawz-all and cut baby cut, it will take lots of time off your project
Step # 3, un-bolt at the cat
Step # 4- install the new unit
