Intrested in a 2002 ss near by, it's an SLP I have some questions, please help!
Hi, I've never had a camaro always had vettes..
However, a friend of my dads who bought a 02 ss brand new off the showroom is 2002 is wanting to sell.
it has 54k miles on it and is light pewter with leather and 6sp.
I am intrested in it, it has center mounted slp exhaust from the factory or either he had the dealer install it not sure..but anyway it's nothing he personally put on it I think it came with it.
I remember when he bought it he said it was a special model etc...has 345hp and not 325hp.
question is what all slp options COULD this car have? and what little slp options could it have? could it just have the intake and exhaust options and thats it? or did they come with a list of options all in one and you either got the slp edition or you didn't.
see what I'm saying? I want to make sure I'm not buying it for the special purpose it's a slp edition special ss and it end up just have one slp option.......
would it have different RPO codes for the slp options or not?
thanks! and not sure what he wants..think somewhere around 15k

i dont think it really matters what slp options it did and didnt have, you could always mod the car with those options or better options.SLP is mostly a thing you are buying cause of the name.I dont know a whole lot about the 98-02 cars but i know the slp editions ones had the slp intake lid and slp exhaust, which is where the center mount exhaust came from, it might also have slp suspension. If he is the original owner ask him if he still has the window sticker or the build sheet it will say what options the car has.

what gear ratio would this car have or are there several ratios it could have.
also is there a quick way to see if it has the slp hurst shifter option?

The car is going to have 3.42's in the rear end.
That said, the SLP options where mainly appearance, you could get anything as little as the hood and rear spoiler all the way up to a level 3 suspension, exhaust and all sorts of goodies. Unless the car is red with checker flag strips it's not a "Special Edition" car. To be completely honest with you the LS1 that is in that Camaro makes the same amount of HP the LS1 in the Corvette did, they're all the same motor, the only thing the Corvette has over the Camaro is a slightly better flowing exhaust system from the factory. The best way for you to check out everything on the car is to get the VIN number and contact SLP, they will have a record of every option the car came with.

ok,
knowing for a fact it has the fancy 10spoke slp wheels and the center slp exhaust.
is it safe to say this car probably has a good many slp options.
and what would you say would be a good buy on this car? it's been always garaged and has 54k miles on it...great great shape.
