So I'm still new to my 4th gen. It's a v6 and I been replacing part after part. Right now I notice when I start her up the engine bounces from 1000 to 7000 , 8000 rpms every second if I just let it sit there at idle. Is that normal or should I replace or clean something g

 

What year are we talking? I really don't think either of V6s GM put in these cars could survive a rev to 8000 RPMs. The 3.4 and 3800 are very different motors so we would need to know which one you are talking about. If you ment to tyoe 700-800 RPM then you may need to relearn the IAC home. Search youtube GM IAC "homing process"
