Default i think its not true

an audio shop said i couldnt use my 4 channel amp to power my door speakers because there is a pre built amp in the car.

i know my radio has only so many watts for the door speakers and that shouldnt mess anything up.

once i do all the nessesary wiring will i be able to connect the speaker wires coming from the amp to the ones going to the speakers behind the radio or ONLY run the wires straight to the speakers?

I know theres an audio part of the forum but rarely anyone goes there.

depends on what stereo was in the car from the factory. my first 93 had the low grade one and had normal wireing so i could hook it to the stock wires. the one i have now had the bose system and i had to run all new wires for all the speakers.

i dont know about the amp on it though. after some thought, i didnt use a amp on the front. mounted the amp in back and ran wires to it and from it to the back speakers and boom box. if your going threw the expense of getting a amp for all four speakers and good stereo dont skimp on wire. use what is called for from the factory.

I'm going to use 2 amps. 1 for my 2 10's then the 4 channel for all the door speakers.

So it is possible to just tie it into the speaker wire right after the radio with no prob?

i have run the speaker wire to the amp before but that was a long while ago. amps have changed. i think it has to do with the amount of amps coming out of the stereo threw the speaker wires. its more than the sw outlet is and thats what the amp is set for. i get lost in that stuff so i need to use the easy ways now. lol.

If the car has a factory Bose system, the door speakers are equipped with individual amps integrated with the speakers. It is not a good to daisy chain amps, unless you appreciate a lot of distortion.

The amps wouldn't be wired together. 1 is just for the sub. The other one just for the door and rear speakers.
