I keep finding different answers to my exhaust questions.

EFIlive, EFIedit and HPtuners are all full custom tuning software, basically you do the 'real' tuning in the ECU not like a automatic hypertech. I plan on learning how to do it. It would be best to get a tune though if you can

heres a catted y pipe for a 94 to 97, u can see the front 02s are in the headers and the back 02s are in the y pipe. not sure if the 00 is the same. i dont know if the y pipe will mate with your stock ehaust, i know this would not mate with mine if i were to try and adapt to stock exhaust. in different places.

I was thinking about picking up the pacesetter/catted y pipe that is with egr fittings package off of the texas speed website. The y pipe does not have rear o2 sensor fittings, so is there the option of having the exhaust shop install an o2 fitting in it or would i need to install an o2 simulator? if i go one of those routes would a tune be necessary immediately or would it still be a neccessity? (I'm trying to avoid getting a tune right away as the exhaust and installation will cost me most of the extra funds i have available at the moment. Not driving my car is not an option has it has been painfully stored over the winter and I wont have another car in the summer time.

but if you dont run cats then you'll get codes and O2 sims may be a better way to go. Just my thoughts, like i say ill let you know how my build goes, my headers are in customs, waiting for the government to tell me how much tax to pay
