Default I hate being stupid [and unfamiliar with automatics]

Okay so I was driving around in my Z/28 with a couple of homies in a lame-o honda. Anyway, we were at a stop sign so I diceded to go into neutral and rev up a bit (since dude just got an exhaust and thought it was cool, but wasn't). Any moron knows not to kick it into gear (with an auto) while revving. Don't worry, I let engine return to idle before I popped it into drive... But I failed to remember to let the tranny get into gear before I start to leave. I didn't step on it, I treated it like I was rolling from a stop light. But, nontheless I gave it some gas when it was getting into gear. The whole damn center console jumped up (not literally, lets just say I thought I blew the trans)! I slowly gave it gas just incase the trans was damage. It was okay. Shifts okay, but I just can't give it too much gas from a start. Basically, I think I busted a tranny mount. I have seen some on www.rockauto.com for about 10 bucks. Plus it was highlighted so I assume it is a common fix.
Sound like my problem?

Thanks
-Bo

Yeps sounds like you busted the mount. Easy fix.

You can see pictures from fixing mine here.

Yeah the first time that happened to me I was REALLY freaked out haha. I guess they just wear out over time.

Go with the Poly mount this time instead of the stock one, then you won't run into this issue again.

ya, with a broken tranny mount it will feel like the trans is coming up through to center console when you step on it. It's like a 15 dollar part, and a easy fix. Don't take it to a shop, or if you do, give them like 10 bucks, it takes like 5 mins. Don't buy into a half hour or hour book time and end up way overpaying for it.

Ive got a bad tranny mount on my Eclipse. when i try to accelerate up hill or on the freeway in higher rpms it shifts hard.. but theres a million DSMs between the 2 local junkyards and i can get a used one that i inspect personally for 20-30 bucks.
