Default i asked this question on another thread but...

didn't get an answer. i've gone through about 4 oil sending units on my 3.8l. they work fine for about 2500 miles, then start to show low pressure. when i change it, the pressure's fine. i can't figure out whether or not all 4 of them were bad, or if something is causing them to go bad. i know it's highly unlikely that 4 in a row just went bad randomly, but what could cause this?

when i put them on, i have perfect oil pressure, stays over half, and moves and stuff, so i know it's not the guage. when they go bad, the guage goes down to the first marker, which is 30psi i think, and tries to move up (you can see it wobbling a bit). when they go reaaally bad, it reads almost zero, like really close. so any ideas? i have 222xxx miles now, and it's in the back of my mind that it's the pump, but it's totally illogical, because i should get low readings from the new sending units, right?

ugh, i need to figure this out lol. i swear, owning this car has made me learn so much about vehicles due to the little things hear and there with it...not that i mind though.
