Default how to make sure optispark is installed right

i have a 94 lt1 and just put the new opti on, but before re asembling the rest of the front end i want to make sure it is lined up correctly and seated right. I installed the opti after moving it around a bit, and it feels like it is seated correctly since i cant turn the opti anymore cause of resistence. Is there anyway to tell that it is correct before i go ahead and re asemble everyelse??? i just dont want to waste my time to find out it isnt intstalled corectly and have to re do everything all over again.

it will technically only go on one way. there is a gear on the back of the opti that has one tooth missing. the engine where the opti goes in will also have one gear missing. if you line these up it will be perfect but if you are off at all dont force it. i forced my first time and ended up taking it all apart again. there should be zero resistance sliding it in and out.

hook up your coil wire and put on a spark plug wire, get a loose spark plug hook it up to the wire, ground it out and have someone crank it over to see if you have spark.

If it's not seated right then you'll have a hard time tring to bolt it in.
