My friend has a 2010 Mustang (Auto). He says if we had a top speed race I couldnt go over 145 mph. Is that true? Ive never been over 110 in my car. What is the top speed for a 1996 z? i was thinking over 155. Or is there a 155 limiter.?

p.s. The mechanics still havent figured out the problem with my coolant :/

 

I pretty sure you'll max out at 115. That's when you'll hit your speed limit.

 

I had at least 3-4k more rpm to go when I took it up to 110.

 

No way cause my v6 hit 120 and hadnt started limiting yet

my 95 limits to 110-115. Its funny cuz the engine will just stop reving then start up again and repeat till i get off the gas.

my 93z doesnt have a speed limiter. i thought only the 6's had the limiter. i have got to 135 with no problems. if the road was better coulda hit 150 easy.

 

I was reading. Your car didn't come stock with z rated tires.
