How do I check if my LT1 has a performance chip?

Default How do I check if my LT1 has a performance chip?

If you have one it would be either the cheap one that goes on the IAT sensor or plugged it under your dash with them fuses

Your car does not really have a "Chip" it would have to be flashed, either by mail order or tuned at a local tuner. If it was send out it might have a sticker on something on the PCM. Local tune, no clure how you would know other then going to another tune place and having it checked. Tunes will vary from one tune place to another but most tuners remove the speed limit and reduce the sensitivity of the knock sensor.

If you have some sort of program, like TunerCat then you can pull the tune and look, but no point in really messing with it if you have no problems right now. No chips on the LT1.
