How to add a factory power seat to a '94 Z28?
I came across a '94 and a '95 Camaro in the junkyard with power seats. How hard would it be to retrofit it to my manual seat car? Is the seat itself the same on both versions so I could just bolt my current seat onto the adjuster assembly? And would the 6-way adjuster bolt to the floor just like the manual one? Is the wiring already under the carpet in my car so it's plug and play? If not is it just a power and ground wire to the switch?
According to the GM parts manual the seat base is exactly the same part from 1993-2002 so you're good there.
The adjuster mechanism seems to be the same, too, but the option code changed.
You're lucky becasue the control switch is on the side of the seat so you don't have to deal with the hassle of door mounted switches and wiring.
I really doubt that the wiring is waiting for you under the carpet. You'll have to grab the harness from the parts cars but ti shouldn't be hard because that harness is only power and ground wires. The power will most likely go straight to the fuse block which isn't too far away.
Good luck.

I think the wiring harness is waiting under the carpet. One of our V6 members add power seats and it was just plug and go.

I found a 1996 Camaro with just 112,000 miles and pulled the tracks and switch from that. Cost me just $20. I have to order a new side trim for my tan seats in beige since all the ones in the junkyard are grey which will be another $17.
