parks in the garage in the night so i doubt thats the case, how many sensors these cars have?

went to my local autozone and asked a couple of the guys what they think the problem is.. funny thing, they said that they have also been getting bad mileage lately and they suspect its the gas we are getting here. they actual words were dont change anything on the car its the gas. so now im at a stand still...

prehaps check the airfliter since the car dosen't get enought air in the engine it might take more gas to make the explosion happen check the air intake aspect of the car then you can play with other stuff.

yep a plugged air filter or catalytic converter can skew your mpg, after checking these i would look at the fuel pressure, 02 sensors and the injectors to start with. im getting 20 mpg.

okay i will check the air filter, how would i check the cat if its blocked? i just was at the hess gas station and filled up. 112 local miles on 12.82 gallons works out to be 8.61 mpg would switching to a slp lid make a night and day difference as far as feeding air in?

are you hearing any rattling in the exhaust. also has the car gotten quiter and/or making a hissing noise?

quieter i dont think so, but i hear a hiss near the throttle body only when standing on the driver side

hiss would be from the exhaust for a bad cat. the hiss from the tb is the iac doin its thing.

i see.. i have been reading alot about this seafoam stuff, some say it works wonders, and some say it is dangerous, what do you think?
