are o2 sensors ok? one of mine 'fell' out once but not fully just so there was a leak upstream of the front o2 on the header. The O2 read low so fuel trims were +20% but one light. I only noticed cause milage was crap on a short 80 mile journey used like half a tank.
my pals GTO headers did the same they were loose so the o2 were irratic but not low enough to cause a signal just change the fuel trims.
Check fuel filter connections again leaks in pipes etc. or try another one.
PS still aint photoed the wingsheild cowl thing, really icy here so can see much other than frost and light dusting of snow

its cool, i had gotten one off somebody, i had to take it off his car, so i saw exactly how its supposed to go, its a 1/2 inch depth from the top of the windshield to the frame on the dudes car, havent tooken mine off yet. when u say the 02 walked out was that with stock exhaust manifolds or your headers? think i might try a stealership fuel filter..
whats the story behind some "new" pcv for these cars?

A fuel filter doesn't/can't cause high engine fuel consumption, the injectors meter the final flow. Leave the filter alone, unless it's leaking. Any chance you live in a cold climate, and you've been letting the engine idle more lately to warm it up? Also, in some areas, gas stations sell a "winter blend" of gas that contains a higher percentage of ethanol than what the summer blend has in it. More ethanol = lower mpg's.

i live in nyc, but i always let the car run to when the needle starts moving past 100 degrees before i take off, but thats no more than 3-5 mins of idle, the filter isnt leaking too. i guess its possible that they are putting more ethanol, these prix around here take your money any way that they can. i paying $3.69/gal for the camaro gas
