I'd pick the pins myself, but that's personal taste.
You sure you don't want to spend a few bucks more for a hinged hood? Removing the hood without taking a chance of scratching a fender can be a fun task, especially on a windy day. Lift-off hoods are extremely lightweight, so hang on to it in a wind or it'll take off on you.

im lookin to drop as much safe weight as i can. so the 7lbs lighter that it is maybe more is needed. i dont work on the car without ppl around ill usually be lik im doin this and friends just ask if they can help. thanks man.
